Rainbow bee-eater - Merops ornatus

It was tricky to catch the Rainbow Bee-Eater in the low morning sun. With a little help of Photoshop I managed to get most of it´s colors back. I like these images as they show the long tail feather I did not see in other images.   :)

Royal Spoonbill - Platalea regia

This is a beautiful bird I loved to watch. The way they swooped the bill back and forth to catch something worth eating. I looked up information about them but can´t find anything about that peculiar bill. Why is there a hole in the lower beak? Maybe saving weight? or letting the water pass while they reap whatever they find.
