The Tawny Frogmouth became one of my favorite birds in Queensland. Despite the fact that it was mostly asleep. This was two birds sleeping. But not close enough to get them in one image.

One of the finest pigeons I have seen.

This is probably a domestic fowl and was not on our bird list for the region. My fellow travelers did not bother but I think they are cute and well worthy of a place in my species list. Never before have I seen such cute chickens :)

We saw only this one bird in Granite gorge. Such a beauty. Free, but obviously used to people.
