As my fellow travelers tried to find an owl I was concentrating on this Kite. It is the same bird on all images. Except for the first one I think, that is several raptors on a fence. It was getting dark and with a low sun appearing now and then through some clouds.

On the last two images the Kite was alarmed by another bird approaching and chased this one away.
I have to say, I love the eyes of this bird. So wonderfully feminine.

We have kites here in South Texas but I have yet to find one and get photos. I'm green with envy.

  9. Very nice bird - I often see them by the side of the freeways, hunting over the short grass.
