The Tawny Frogmouth became one of my favorite birds in Queensland. Despite the fact that it was mostly asleep. This was two birds sleeping. But not close enough to get them in one image.

  3. These are great birds - I always like seeing them! I have been away for a bit and have a nest site I need to go and check this weekend.

PS: my slowness to comment and visit has been caused by a trip to an island in the Pacific!

  4. How wonderful! I've never seen these in the wild either! We usually only get Honeyeaters, Figbirds, etc in our yard.
