Welcome Swallow - Hirundo neoxena
© NF Photo 140907 Cattana Wetlands, Queensland, AustraliaThis swallow is rather close in appearance to our barn swallows. And they were quite common on our trip. The last shot is bad quality but I share it mainly because it shows the white markings on the swallows tail feathers.

ReplyDeleteThere are a number of these that hang around our house. Lovely birds that are so graceful to watch. They even tried to make a nest inside the back porch but we didn't think that was a good idea.
