This is a beautiful bird I loved to watch. The way they swooped the bill back and forth to catch something worth eating. I looked up information about them but can´t find anything about that peculiar bill. Why is there a hole in the lower beak? Maybe saving weight? or letting the water pass while they reap whatever they find.

  2. Your questions about the spoonbill's beak are interesting. I wonder myself. I love the dark sooty great of their beaks and legs!
