Rainbow bee-eater - Merops ornatus

It was tricky to catch the Rainbow Bee-Eater in the low morning sun. With a little help of Photoshop I managed to get most of it´s colors back. I like these images as they show the long tail feather I did not see in other images.   :)

  6. They are such a pretty bird and their call is rather cricket like. I can hear them now as I am typing but spotting them is another matter. Nice spotting.

  7. Wonderful birds - I live just a bit too far south to see them on a regular basis - so, I always get rather excited when I do.
