A wonderful bird I have also seen in Costa Rica. Think it was the same one. Such a long neck. :) Here it was just outside my lodge in a temporary water pool that depended on yearly watersupplies. It dried out half of the year.

  1. What fabulous photos! He really has his necked stretched when he flies. We have Anhingas here in Florida and they are sometimes called a snake bird. Hugs!

  3. That reminds me....we have two, a male and a female, at a local refuge the past couple of months, and I've not checked in on them for nearly a week. I'd love to see them in breeding plumage. I'll have to drive there today and see if they're still here.
